Born and raised in eastern South Dakota, the Black Hills was always a favorite destination for my family growing up. I fell in love with the area enough to make it home as a young adult. After attending BHSU in Spearfish and SDSU in Rapid City for nursing, I've spent over 10 incredible years in the nursing field, primarily working with kids—my specialty and one of my greatest joys! Fun fact: I actually shadowed both nursing and photography in high school, but after being paired with a rather disgruntled Walmart photographer, I was naturally rather called to nursing at the time. Thankfully, photography found its way back into my life around 2018, giving me the creative outlet I've always craved. I'm so excited to combine my love for people, the Black Hills, and storytelling to capture raw, authentic moments you'll cherish for years to come.
